6th International Conference on Salutogenesis: Advancing Salutogenesis towards thriving societies, April 14 - 15, 2020, Center of Salutogenesis, University of Zurich, Switzerland

Salutogenesis has a focus on strengthening resources and positive health outcomes, thus being a core concept for Health Promotion research and practice. Following five successful International Research Seminars on Salutogenesis, IUHPE, its Global Working Group on Salutogenesis and the Society for Theory and Research on Salutogenesis (STARS) invite to this Sixth International Conference. Based on the Handbook and the recently published Position Paper of the Global Working Group on Salutogenesis, the conference will explore four topic areas of advancing Salutogenesis:

  1. How to advance the overall salutogenic model of health

  2. How to advance the concept of sense of coherence, SoC

  3. How to design salutogenic interventions and change processes in complex systems

  4. How to apply Salutogenesis beyond the health sector

In line with participatory principles, the conference program offers a highly interactive format with strong involvement of all participants in diverse presentations and debates on current trends in theory, research and implementation of Salutogenesis.
