Reviews of Health Promotion and Education Online was the electronic journal of the IUHPE from 2000 - 2007, and is thus the predecessor to VHPO.

The purpose and aim of Reviews of Health Promotion and Education Online (RHPEO) was to improve the quality of health promotion and health education by publishing articles- together with a short abstract or summary-that were relevant for its development, implementation and evaluation.

RHPEO provided people interested in health promotion and health education all over the world with a critical analysis of resources of different kinds that could be useful to their work, whatever that work might be (program management, teaching, program delivery, undergraduate or graduate studies, consultation, policy making, clinical intervention etc.), and whatever the level of this work (local, regional, provincial, national, international). This was done mainly in two ways: a team of about 30 reviewers, nominated for a three years period by the Editorial Board of RHP&EO, submitted reviews in a set of series; members of the Editorial Board of RHPEO also submitted reviews if they chose to do so. Secondly, members of the IUHPE who were interested in becoming discussants, submitted their reactions to the reviews, in order to create debates, provide second opinions on resources, etc.

To view the various articles and responses please visit the RHPEO site: iuhpe.org/rhpeo/ .

NB* Please note that the reviews and responses on RHPEO have long been closed and this link is simply to provide access to viewing their work.
