Networks
The IUHPE is the leading global network and technical facilitating agency in the field of health promotion. This unique status creates opportunities for the IUHPE to play an active role in the international arena through constructive participation in a number of regional, international and global networks which connect to the IUHPE's scientific portfolio.
These networks differ from the Global Working Groups and the IUHPE's project-based collaborations with members, as they are external to the IUHPE's structure itself; however, they provide a variety of opportunities for the organisation to collaborate strategically with other networks and add a broader, more comprehensive contribution to the IUHPE's scientific orientations and goals. The nature of the IUHPE's participation within various networks differs operationally on a case by case basis, but overall there is mutual agreement as to the benefit of these relationships from a scientific affairs perspective in terms of their providing a basis to build capacity, engage in dialogue and advance knowledge on practice and policy.
