As of 2008, the journal is published by SAGE Publications. All members of the IUHPE automatically receive Global Health Promotion (formerly Promotion & Education). It is also available by subscription, please visit the journal's website on SAGE's platform for the price and order information.

The first issue of Global Health Promotion will appear in March 2009, together with the first Supplement on the proceedings and presentations from the Conference Closing the Gap in a Generation: Health Equity through Action on the Social Determinants of Health, which took place on 6-7 November 2008 in London.
